Wear Often, Wash Less

Over-washing shortens the life of your clothes and, contrary to detergent ads, isn’t always necessary—especially for dupattas and saris, which can often be aired out and reused without washing every time. Washing less is also kinder to the environment. Dry-cleaning too, although necessary for some fabrics, should be occasional rather than routine, due to its negative environmental impact.

How to Care for Your Suruchi Garments

For fabrics WITHOUT Lehariya (tie-dye) or any type of embroidery (gotapatti,
brocade, mukaish, taar work, bija bel, etc.), the instructions are below:

1. Hand Wash Separately.
2. Do not Soak.
3. Dry inside-out in shade.
4. Warm iron.
5. Occasional Dry-Clean if required.

Fabrics WITH Lehariya (tie-dye) and any type of embroidery (gotapatti, brocade, mukaish, taar work, bija bel, etc.)

1. Occasional dry-clean OR spot-clean only (Spot-cleaning involves cleaning specific parts of the garment by hand, instead of washing the whole garment).
2. Do not iron over any embroidery or embellishment.

Semi-Chiffon will crinkle after wash. Ironing before use will help straighten and flatten it.
